Villa Anna

Villa Anna is on a property noted on ancient maps with many wine growing traditions from as early as the Etruscan and Roman times and it is no coincidence that the noble Medici family of Florence, to whom it belonged in the 1400’s, considered it to be one of their most prestigious estates. Details below.


 


Beds and Baths (sleeps 12)

All bedrooms are queen sized and all have a bathroom with large rain head showers. They vary in size slightly but all should be considered master bedrooms. There is a ½ bath on the ground floor.
Living Space

Generally guests enter the house via a large entrance hall but there are many other entrances as well. There are several living rooms, a working fireplace and a white grand piano. There is a TV/satellite room. The kitchen is chock full of every possible cooking implement including a marble top table for 8. It has a fireplace and a door to the veranda overlooking the pool. The dining room has 2 huge tables each sitting up to 14 people.

 Household Amenities

Every part of this house is large scaled, big rooms, big gardens, big attitude. The is a large oven, stove with 6 burners, grill, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher, ceiling fan, hair dryer in every bedroom. There are no screens but every bedroom has air conditioning.

Outside Features

There is a huge garden with a fountain, veranda and a covered area with outside living and dining room. Much of the garden is lighted and the property is fenced and has an electric gate. . A wide stairway leads to the pool area one level below. There are ample sun beds, a covered area, and a bathroom with shower. A pool towel is offered for each guest.

Other Features

There are 10-12 bikes, a tennis court shared with other houses in the area about 100 meters from the house, a small lake is also nearby. Bowling of interest? No problem, it is available also. Future plans include adding another bedroom suite at the pool area. A chef can be added at 40 euro per hour. A reception area and wine shop are open daily except Sunday. Three bottles of wine and fresh bread is in the house at your arrival. Heating and air conditioning is included for 6 hours per day. Beyond the 6 hours there is an additional charge.

Location/Where to Go

Distance to the A1 Autostrade is about 25 minutes, Arezzo 30 minutes, train from Bucine to Florence or Arezzo and beyond about 20 minutes, Siena 25 minutes, Florence airport about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
