This luxurious country estate has been recently converted from a monastic complex dating back to the late 1100's. It is set in some 50 acres of open farmland with wonderful country walks in all directions and is decorated and furnished to a very high standard and carefully selected to enhance each of the 12 bedrooms. It is available by the night, by the room or as a large villa with staff plus dependence. This is the perfect location for family reunions, weddings or small conferences. Please be advised this property is in 2 buildings with 9 bedrooms in the main house and 3 more in the cottage. Details below.



Beds and Baths - (sleeps 22)

Five queen bedrooms with showers, three twin bedrooms with showers, a twin with tub & shower, a twin with luxury bath with tub & shower and a terrace, a queen with shower and private terrace which is suitable for guests with mobility difficulties, and another twin bedroom in the tower with showered bathroom.

Living Space

There is a billiards room, an elegant sitting room, a lavish dining room with a dazzling custom designed lighting fixture, a fully professional custom kitchen for staff use, and a small kitchen for guests. There is an elevator used solely for luggage management (sorry, insurance does not allow for client use). The dependence has carefully selected furnishings & finishings and includes a full kitchen and lovely living room; it is slightly less formal than the main house.

Household Amenities

Terracotta floors, tall fans in each room, central heating, luxurious textiles, satellite TV in each bedroom, internet facility, twice weekly cleaning, heating, baggage assistance, cell phones available, guest robes & slippers, hairdryers, washing machine. Nightly rate includes light laundry service, copious breakfast buffet, afternoon tea and dinner with wine, tea & coffee.

If renting by the night the rate includes: complimentary welcome basket and light laundry service, copious buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner with wine, and tea, coffee or refreshments during the day.

Outside Features

This property is surrounded by beautiful gardens and is nestled in a valley with wonderful views of open fields and woodland hills. There are numerous terraces, a swimming pool (about 18' x 37'), a private chapel and covered parking with security system. Leisurely walks are possible.

Other Features:

No pets or smoking allowed. Closed December, January & February. Minimum age is 10. Manicures, pedicures, nail extensions, massage and hair care are all available in-house or under a shady lean-to by the pool. Weddings or blessings can be arranged in English or other languages. Cooking classes and guided excursions possible. Cook, maid, baby sitter and light laundry service available at an additional charge when renting the entire house. Please note there are no screens on the windows.

Umbertide & Citta di Castello minutes away, Assisi, Perugia, Gubbio, Cortona and Lake Trasemeno within 30 minutes.
