Main house bedrooms: A twin/king bedroom with ensuite showered bathroom,
a twin/king bedroom with ensuite showered bathroom with fabulous
Liberty era tiles and two more twin/king bedrooms that share a bathroom
with a tub & hand-held shower as well as a wall hook which is
nicely old-fashioned; it also has a shower curtain unlike many Italian
showers.
Guesthouse bedrooms
(attached to the main house but only with an external door): Two twin/king bedrooms, one bathroom with shower and
one bathroom with tub and overhead shower as well as hand-held.
Living Space:
The main house has a front
hall with a half bathroom, a kitchen with fridge, table for 6, marble
counters, 5-burner stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The living
room has a TV, a piano, a huge working fireplace and another dining
table for 6 people. There is a small study on the bedroom floor plus
another living room with an ornamental fireplace. The guesthouse has
its own kitchen with a 4-burner stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher and a
living/dining room area.
Household Amenities:
Some parts of the house date
from 600 BC but restoration was completed in 2007. The furnishings were
selected from the familys collection of antiques. There are screens on
all windows and doors, WiFi, wood burning oven with wood available on
request, a barbecue, cook and cooking classes both on request, washing
machine, central heating, extra maid service on request and all
bedrooms have fans. There is a laundry room in an outer building.
Outside Features:
French doors open into the
front garden which overlooks the 13 x 26 pool that is equipped with a
salt warmed electrolysis water treatment system and sun shower (pool
towels are available). There is an outside dining table and chairs that
are placed near the kitchen door. There are six hectares of lawns and
gardens and a trekking path directly from the property.
Other Features:
Midweek cleaning is included
and more hours are available at an extra fee. A cook is available for
an extra fee as are cooking classes. Pre-shopping is also possible as
is a welcome dinner. The owner offers a welcome nosh. Do keep in mind
the Tuscan Sun Festival (featuring international cultural and music
events) is held in Cortona late July - early August. Check this year's

Location/Where to Go:
Easy access to a multitude of
roads to allow access to all of southern Tuscany and most of Umbria.
500 meters to Cortona, Perugia 1 hour, Siena 1 hour, Florence 1.5
hours. Etruscan ruins less than 2 miles.
