of this house dates back
to the 15th century with
additions in the 1700's through

Beds and Baths - (sleeps 16+6)
Main house:
Ground floor twin/king bedroom with a door to the outside and an adjacent bathroom with shower (handicap accessible); this bedroom also has an efficiency kitchen in a box. There is also half bathroom on this floor. On the upper floor there is a master suite with sofa, fireplace and an exterior entrance, a queen bed, satellite tv and an en suite bathroom with corner shower. This bedroom has an entrance from outside, a patio and a kitchen in a box. A second queen bedroom with 1/2 tester bed, satellite tv and an en suite bathroom with shower, a third queen bedroom (smaller but very nice) with en suite showered bath, a twin/king (plus a daybed) with an adjoining bathroom with shower and another twin/king bedroom with bathroom featuring two sinks and a shower. On the top floor there is a twin/queen bedroom with two sets of french doors, a skylight and an en suite bathroom with jacuzzi and separate shower. There is possible double sofa bed in a loft for occasional guests.
Tower:
This space was originally for drying tobacco hundreds of years ago; it is a nicely private space. On the ground floor there is a divan bed for one person with adjoining handicap accessible bathroom with shower, satellite tv, fireplace and under floor heating, at the top of the stairs is another sofa bed for 2 persons which you would need to pass through. There is also a huge shower and bath on this level which is shared with the top floor queen bedroom.
Living Space
In the main house there is a large living room with several conversation areas and a working fireplace, dining room for 14 and an eat in, efficient, professional looking kitchen. In the tower there is a kitchen with dishwasher, small stove and a 4-burner stove. This house of course can be used during early spring and late fall, but outside dining is the highlight at this country home.
Household Amenities
Comfortable modern furniture perfectly combined with fabulous antiques from the family's collection, professional dishwasher, large oven, 5-burner stove, American coffee maker, espresso/cappuccino machine, toaster oven, grilling fireplace, large fridge, food processor, blender, tea pot, Italian coffee pot, washer & dryer, ironing board and a safe. No telephone. There are hairdryers and pool towels provided.
Outside Features
Breathtaking panoramic views, 35'9" x 19'6" swimming pool, terraces, fireplace, brick oven, 2 showers by the pool, barbecue, pizza oven by the pool, and a fabulous terrace adjacent to the house with room for 23 guests or more. The tower area also has a small terrace.
Other Features:
Possible by prior arrangement: a cook, cooking classes, wine tasting, dinners and olive oil tastings. Family wines are available. There are beautiful textiles throughout.
