Melogrando (stand-alone house) (sleeps 7): This house is the nearest to the road but there is very little traffic. Good sized living room with a huge sofa, tables and chairs, satellite tv, computer with dial up service, telephone line and fireplace. The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator/freezer, marble sink, 4-burner stove with oven, dishwasher and a washing machine.

Ground floor small room with a sofa trundle bed and independent entrance and a large, showered bathroom with pebble floor; this area can be closed off for privacy. On the upper floor (17 steps up) there are two twin bedrooms that share a second bathroom featuring a tub with handheld shower. A fourth bedroom has a queen bed (or two twins) with an en suite showered bathroom. The furniture in the bedrooms is casual country style.

Nespoli (1/2 of a building) (sleeps 6): You enter this house from a courtyard on two levels into a large living room with a fireplace. It has a huge kitchen with two large tables and is fully equipped with dishwasher, large refrigerator/freezer and a 4-burner stove. There is a bathroom near the kitchen with a tub and handheld shower. Go down 15 stairs and there is another bathroom with shower and a queen or twin bedroom with a private exit to a terrace. Upstairs there are two queen or twin bedrooms with a third bathroom featuring a stall shower. The house is furnished with lovely antiques and is perhaps the most gracious.

Gelso (1/2 of a building) (sleeps 7): This house is nearest the pool but, again, privacy has been taken into consideration. It has a nice kitchen similar to the other houses. There is a refrigerator /freezer, double sink, dishwasher, 4-burner stove & oven and washing machine. There is a bathroom in this area of the house with a tub and handheld shower. Next there is a living room/dining room combination with a fireplace. The entrance to the house is on the mid level of this building. There is a queen bedroom on the lowest level with an external entrance with a showered bathroom that will accommodate a wheelchair. On the top floor there are two queen or twin bedrooms that share a bathroom with a shower. Don’t forget there is also a full bathroom on the mid floor.

The third house on this property is where the owner resides. It is located on an upper terrace and is removed from the guest’s area. The hamlet offers a huge tiled patio area for al fresco dining with a “Bellavista” over historic Lucca and Pisa and the sea beyond. This area is completed by an enormous heated pool and landscaped gardens. From the fabulous infinity pool area you can enter a function room/conference room featuring a fireplace and large kitchen, which can be used for cooking classes or demonstrations. In addition there is a barbecue and wood-burning oven. We feel the function room would be a great place for group dining. On the lower level of the function room there is another large room, which could be used for morning exercises or perhaps yoga. There is also a steam room which is available by reservation at €50 for 4 hours. There are two jacuzzi showers adjacent to the steam room. The pool size is 26’ x 55/3” and it has a diving board. There are underwater windows allowing views from the lower level of the functions room.


Household Amenities

Each house has: patio and pergola with outside sinks, central hearting, cd/cassette player, satellite tv, computer connection (dial up), fans, modern kitchens and bathrooms, towels changed midweek, house cleaning twice weekly, artwork from the Lucca area. There are no screens in any of the buildings. Pool towels are provided. There is a washing machine in each house and one hair dryer per house.


Other Features

Possible options by reservation: chef, cooking classes, pizza parties, classical concerts on site, baby sitter, bike rentals, Italian lessons, shiatsu massage, yoga lessons, ironing, washing, more frequent change of linens. The owner offers for sale local olive oil and wine. This is a non smoking house.
